Metal iPhone 4 Case Looks Tough While it Protects

For those iPhone 4 owners with a Terminator fetish, there is now a heavy metal case for you.
This $95 case, crafted by indie designer Ryan Glasgow's Ltd Tools, is made of stainless steel and a tough plastic called delrin.
The thin, hinged case's front panel fits over the iPhone's glass screen to protect it. A cutout window allows viewing of incoming calls and the time and date.
A rubber band across the front quiets the closing of the lid, holds it shut and also makes opening it easier. As a bonus, the band is handy for holding money and cards, according to a product description on Glasgow's website.
To thwart the iPhone 4 "death grip" that can cause reception problems – and led to Apple issuing free bumper covers to all purchasers – the Glasgow cover places buffers in the iPhone 4's lower left corner.
The back of the case crosses the phone's back like an 'X' to cut down on weight, and there is a cutout for the camera.
That's good for snapping some face shots of the many people who will be curious about, envious of and possibly frightened by the this iPhone 4 full metal jacket.
