PS3 Move Bundle Coming in September for $400
Sony has announced some updates for the PS3 and the Move motion control system, including a bundle that will have it all for $400.
There are two new console configurations with expanded storage. The PS3 Sports Champions Move bundle will include a PS3 with 320GB of storage space. The Sports Champions bundle includes the PlayStation Move camera and motion controller , as well as the Sports Champion game (analogous to the sports games that come with a Nintendo Wii). It will ship on September 19, the day Sony releases the Move system, for $399.99.
The other new PS3 also includes a storage increase. Shipping now is a PS3 Slim with 160GB of storage for the same price as the previous model: $299.99.
Both of these models point to the decreasing cost of storage for game consoles. Microsoft has done the same thing for the Xbox 360 recently, announcing new models with greater storage capacity. Since both companies have adamantly stated that completely redesigned consoles aren't coming for many years, it's likely that they will periodically expand memory as a way to drive sales.
